In 1942, as part of the centennial celebration, William Edward Eisenberg's Roanoke College: The First Hundred Years debuted. Eisenberg, an alumni of Roanoke College, created the first complete history of the college. The history of the college goes through the meager beginnings and delves into the changes that occurred in the first hundred years. Today the book has been digitally scanned and published online for all to read.
