Purpose and Scope:
Faculty library grants support the purchase of resources to increase library holdings for students' course-related research for either new or existing courses. To promote broad distribution of funds, priority will be given to newly hired faculty and other new applicants to the grant process. Faculty are strongly advised to consult with their library liaison to understand collection needs and resources available in advance of making a grant application.
Grant requests may include monographs (online or print), media, and periodical back files. Grant funds should not be considered as renewable each year. Grant requests for annual subscriptions and/or multi-year funding commitments are not eligible. Resources for non-repeating, specialized courses or independent studies should be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
The library will review applications and make awards throughout the academic year. The deadline to submit an application is February 1st. The maximum award for any request is $1,500. The following selection criteria will be used:
