Interlibrary Loan and Worldcat

When searching for books and articles from Fintel's online resources,  you may find a link to make a Request via Interlibrary Loan for articles, chapters, books, or other resources when full-text is not available. When you click on the link to place an interlibrary loan request, you will be prompted for your RC credentials in Tipasa.  Fintel Library uses Tipasa to send interlibrary loan requests.  Once you've entered your RC credentials, a form will open, and, in most cases, the form will already have data from the citation of the item you want to requests.  If the form is blank, simply copy the citation information into the form, submitting it once finished.

Other important things to know about Interlibrary Loan:

  • No cost to you
  • Delivery time can be 2 days to 2 weeks; we’re at the mercy of the library sending it.  Procrastinators should take this into consideration and keep in mind that delivery times are longer later in the semester!
  • WorldCat can be used to search for books from other libraries and place ILL requests.

If you have any other interlibrary questions, please feel free to call or email Jeffrey Martin at 540-375-2298.

Use Worldcat to search for books, journals, and other resources in of thousands of other libraries.
